6.2.3 Connecting the coolant hoses
The coolant hoses can be connected either to the front or to the rear of the cooling unit.
6.2.4 Bleeding the cable assembly
Proper cooling is ensured only if the entire cooling system has been bled. The cable assembly must bled
at the time of initial commissioning and every time the device is fully bled.
Connect the cable assembly's coolant hoses to the device, ensuring that the cooling circuit is closed.

Remove the cap on the coolant tank and keep the coolant tank open until the bleeding process is

complete.
Remove the coolant return hose from the coolant return connector (red) and hold it over the coolant tank's
3
opening.
Switch on the device.

Seal the coolant hose or kink it and then open it abruptly. Repeat this process until coolant flows
5
continuously and without bubbles.
Switch off the device.

Connect a coolant return hose to the coolant return connector (red).

Check the coolant level and fill as needed.

Seal the coolant tank.

Connect a coolant supply hose to the coolant supply

connector (blue).
Connect a coolant return hose to the coolant return
2
connector (red).
Set the main switch of the welding power source to <I>.

Press the <Cooling unit on/off> button on the control
4
panel of the welding power source.
The LED lights up and the device is ready for operation.
After one minute, check the coolant level in the coolant
5
tank and add more if necessary.
If the E-510 error occurs at the welding power source,
6
start the welding power source several times to return
the coolant to the cooling unit.
