PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFETY
WARNING
Please read this manual carefully before use the dehumidifier.
The appliance must only be dismantled and repaired by a qualified technician using the
appropriate tools.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the
hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall
not be made by children without supervision.
Before starting the appliance it must have been in an upright position (the normal working
position) for at least eight hours and failure to observe this instruction could cause irreparable
damage to the compressor.
Do not pull out the plug by pulling power wires.
Do not remove water tank during operation.
Please be careful while you moving the machine, avoid power wires to be mangled by movement.

The appliance must not be handled with sharp movements. Any water leaking from the tank or tray
could wet the electric parts with the obvious risk of danger.
Do not put fingers or any other sticks into the machine.
Please pull out the plug before clean or repair the machine.
The dehumidifier must always be connected to an efficiently grounded socket. As with all
electrical appliances, failure to observe this safety measure is a potential source of danger that the
constructor does not respond for in any way.
Do not wash the appliance with water, just use a damp cloth after unplugging it from the socket.
Do not cover the front or rear grid with clothes or other items as this could damage the appliance
and be a source of danger.
Should any water be spilt due to sharp movements, the dehumidifier must remain turned off and
unplugged in an upright position for at least eight hours before it can be turned on again.
The appliance must not be turned on in confined spaces where the expelled air from the front
grid is unable to circulate freely, however the side panels can be placed next to a wall without
affecting the appliance efficiency.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Munters MDR dehumidifiers are designed for use in places which have to be dried quickly or somewhere an uncontrolled
rise in levels of relative humidity cannot be permitted, and reduce the relative water vapour condensation levels in the air.
Designed for a wide range of applications, the MDR dehumidifiers are robust, industrial unit which utilize energy-efficient
compressors and compact mobile design to provide easy efficient drying.
How it works

MDR dehumidifiers are dsigned based on the refrigeration circulatory system. Inside this hermetic
system, the compressor( ) pumps and compresses refrigerant to high temperature gas, and send to the condenser( ).

After heat exchange and pass through the condenser, the gas is throttled in the capillary( )
then it turns to low temperature liquid status, then it passes through
evaporator( ), evaporates and returns to the compressor.

The ventilator( ) draws moist air through the refrigerated

surface of evaporator which cools it below the dew point,
removing moisture which is collected and lead away to
water tank( ). The cool air then passes over the hot

condenser, where it is reheated. Then the air is discharged
into the room at a little higher temperature but a lower
relative humidity than when the air entered the unit.
Continuous circulation of the room air through the
dehumidifier unit gradually reduces the relative humidity
in the room.
OPERATION & FUNCTION
Note:
Before use the dehumidifier, ensure that all the DOORS and WINDOWS of the room are CLOSED, in order to
reduce the energy waste.
Handle Installation
After unpacking the carton, please install the handle onto the machine with screws at both sides.
Positioning
• In the middle of a room if possible to ensure good air circulation.
• Where air can be sucked in freely through the filter and blown out on the opposite side.
• In order to get the best efficiency, the suggested minimum distances of both air
suction and discharge sides from walls are 0.6 and 3m respectively (See FIG.2).
• Ensure the unit placed horizontally. Don't slope over 45° if move it.
• Away from any source of heat e.g. a radiator.
Electrical Connection
The dehumidifier is complete with cable and plug and ready for connection to
a 230V/50Hz socket with a 10A fuse or a 16A circuit breaker.
Dual-Voltage Kit (Optional)
With regard to some special industrial field with 110V/50Hz power source, an optional Dual-Voltage (DV) kit is necessary
in order to step up the voltage to 230V which is fit for the dehumidifier.
