Service
Any servicing requires specialist tools and knowledge and should be
performed only by a qualified Tacwise Service Engineer or appointed
Service Agent. We strongly recommend that the main housing of
the tool is not opened, as such action may result in injury and may
compromise the tool warranty.
Usage Advisories
During prolonged periods of use, the tool may begin to get warm.
If this occurs, it is advised to let the tool rest and cool down fully
before proceeding further. This should prevent overheating and
damage to the tool.

Trigger Safety Lock
This tool is equipped with a trigger safety lock switch (1), which
prevents the tool from firing a staple/nail when in the locked
position.
• To lock: Push the switch in as far as it will go from the side of the
tool with the
symbol.
• To unlock: Push the switch in as far as it will go from the side of
the tool with the
symbol.
Checking the Safety Contact Nose Mechanism
• Ensure you remove all staples/nails from the magazine (6).
• Press the safety contact nose (8) on the workpiece and pull the
trigger (2). The safety contact nose mechanism and trigger should
move freely.
• Place the safety contact nose on the workpiece and press the
power tool down into the workpiece without pulling the trigger, the
power tool should not fire. Lift the power tool from the workpiece
and the safety contact nose should spring back automatically.
• Reload the staples/nails into the magazine (6).
NOTE: Do not use the power tool if the safety contact nose
mechanism does not move freely.
Loading the Tool with Staples/Nails (FIG. B)
• Ensure the power tool is switched off and unplugged from the
power source.
• Hold tool upside down; squeeze the magazine release catch (5)
and slide the magazine open.
• Tilt the tool and place staples/nails along the left edge of the
magazine channel, ensuring the sharp edge of the staple/nails is
pointing upwards (away from the tool body).
• Close the magazine by pushing the end until the magazine release
catch (5) has clicked back into place.
• Plug the tool back into the power source.
NOTE: We strongly recommend that you only use approved/genuine
Tacwise staples or nails.
NOTE: Do not load fasteners of different lengths together. Do not
load staples and nails mixed together.
NOTE: Some staple/nail strips may be too long for this magazine,
therefore the strips will need to be split before loading.

FASTENING TOOLS FOR THE PROFESSIONAL
Unloading the Tool
• Ensure the power tool is switched off and unplugged from the
power source.
• Hold tool upside down; squeeze the magazine release catch (5)
and slide the magazine open.
• Tilt the tool and remove any staples/nails in channel.
• Close the magazine and make sure the magazine release catch (5)
has clicked back into place.
NOTE: Use caution when sliding the magazine back to close.
Do not use excessive force. Otherwise, the magazine slider could
become damaged and there is danger of your fingers being caught,
or pinched.
Nailing or Stapling
• Unlock the trigger safety lock switch (1).
• Turn the tool on at the on/off switch (4).
• Hold the handle firmly with the magazine (6) flat to the work piece.
• Press the nose of the tool down against the work piece so the
safety contact nose (8) is depressed.
• Squeeze the trigger (2) to fire the staple/nail into the work piece.
• You must release the trigger (2) after each nail or staple has been
fired to reset the tool. The tool will not fire another nail or staple
until the trigger has been released.
• Do not keep the trigger depressed when the tool is not in use.
Ensure that the trigger safety lock switch (1) and the on/off switch
(4) are turned off to prevent accidental firing when the tool is not
in use.
NOTE: Harder materials and longer length staples or nails will always
require more force to nail or staple. Apply added hand pressure at
the top of the tool.
LED Light
• The LED worklight (9) will be activated after the first shot has
been fired. The LED light will stay illuminated for approximately 10
seconds unless another staple/nail is fired.
Removing a Jammed Nail or Staple
NOTE: You must remove any jammed staples or nails before using
the tool any further. If you try to fire a fastener while the tool is
jammed, you could cause damage to the mechanism.
• Ensure the power tool is switched off and unplugged from the
power source.
• Hold tool upside down; squeeze the magazine release catch (5)
and slide the magazine open.
• Tilt the tool and remove any unused staples/nails in the channel
(use pliers for ease), this should clear the jammed fastener(s).
• Do not insert damaged staples/nails back into the magazine
channel.
• Following the removal of a jammed staple or nail, always carefully
test the tool function fully before proceeding with any work.
NOTE: If staples/nails become jammed in the nosepiece frequently,
have the tool serviced by a Tacwise Engineer.
Converting the Plug from UK to Euro (FIG. C)
• Unscrew UK plug casing.
• Flip open casing to reveal Euro 2-pin plug.
• Remove Euro plug from UK casing.
