Before You Begin
CAUTION: Risk of Product Damage. The controller is rated to operate in temperatures up to 104°F (40°C). Do not
install near heat sources (such as radiators or under whirlpool surrounds) or in any location where the temperature
may exceed 104°F (40°C).
IMPORTANT! This product requires a two-port or three-port digital valve (not included) that is dedicated to the Perfect
Fill System.
This product can also be connected to a new or existing DTV+ System. A two-port or three-port digital valve (not
included) that is dedicated to the Perfect Fill System is still required.
IMPORTANT! This product requires two valve outlets plumbed to the bath spout. For three-port valves, the third valve
outlet needs to be plumbed to a handshower.
NOTE: For DTV+ Installations: Before operating the system for the first time, download and install the latest software for
connected components. This may take an hour or more to complete based on system configuration and internet
connection speed. Do not disconnect the power from any components during software download and installation.
NOTE: Instructions apply to both round and slotted drains. Steps that pertain to a specific drain type are noted.
If possible, install the drain to the bath before installing the bath.
Read these instructions and determine all components and installation locations before beginning installation.
Your Perfect Fill System requires two electrical outlets, one for the Perfect Fill controller and one for the digital valve (not
included). Verify that all the electrical requirements for your Perfect Fill System have been adequately planned (Perfect
Fill controller, digital valve, DTV+, etc.).
An access panel is required to access the drain, controller, power supply, and GFCI electrical outlet after installation.
A qualified electrician should install a 120 V GFCI electrical outlet, within the stud framing, close to the controller.
If possible, install the electrical outlet before installing the controller.
A 25' (7.6 m) cable is provided to connect the controller to the valve. If the valve is not within 25' (7.6 m) of the controller,
obtain a longer cable or add extension cables.
Two 25' (7.6 m) cables are provided to connect the controller to the drain. Verify that the controller will be installed within
25' (7.6 m) of the drain.
