Room temperature should not exceed 40° C. After the positi&n of the compressor has been determined, check that the
compressor is laid leve1 with the rear part positioned towards the most ventilated area.
IMPORTANT
After positioning the compressor, open the cover (fig. 5) and remove the yellow bracket which is used as an anchor between the
pumping element and sound-deadening cabin for handling operations.
ELECTRIC CONNECTION
Check that the power voltage corresponds to that indicated on the electrical data plate (fig. 2). The allowable field of tollerante must
be contained within +/- 6%.
For mod. SSA: The compressor has no power supply of its own. This cable must be connected to terminals L1-L2-L3
located inside the electrical cabinet (fig.6). The earth cable must be connected to terminal "PE" located at the side of these
terminals. Connect, to the output cable, an electrical socket with screw cable gripper and locking collar (fig. 3) referring to the
following table.
For mod. SCS: the compressor is supplied of cable. Connect it , to the output cable, an electrical socket with screw cable gripper
and locking collar (fig. 3).

We advise you to install the socket, the thermal switch and the fuses near (at least 3 metres) the compressor. The thermal switch
and fuses must have the characteristics indicated in the previous table.
EARTHING INSTRUCTIONS
This compressor must be earthed during use to protect the operator against electrical shocks. The electrical connection must be
carried out by a qualified technician. Never dismantle the compressor and never make other connections on the electrical system.
Any repairs must be performed by authorised service centres or other qualified centres. Never forget that the earthing wire is green
or yellow/green. Never connect this green wire to a live terminal. Before replacing the power cable plug, make sure to first connect
the earthing wire. In case of doubt, call in a qualified electrician and have the earthing arrangements checked.
ATTENTION
Never use the earth socket instead of the neutral. The earth connection must be made according to the accident-prevention
regulations (EN 60204). Do not use the power cable plug as a switch. It must be fitted in a power socket commanded by an
adequate differential switch (thermal magnet).
EXTENSION LEAD
Use solely an extension lead with plug and earth connection - do not use, damaged or crushed extension leads. Make sure that the
lead is in god condition. When using an extension lead, make sure that the lead diameter is sufficient to convey the current
absorbed by the product your intend to connect. Too thin a lead can cause voltage drops and, therefore, loss of power and
overheating of the appliance.
ATTENTION
Avoid all risks of electrical discharges. Never use the compressor with a damaged electrical cable or extension lead. Regularly
check the electrical cables. Never use the compressor in or near to water or near a dangerous environment where electrical
discharges can occur.
