Initial start-up
4.1
Connection KTS 515
1. Connect the KTS 515 to the power supply unit
included in the scope of delivery.
2. Connect the KTS 515 to a PC/Laptop via the USB
connecting cable.

The message "New hardware found" appears on the
screen for a few seconds the first time the KTS 515
is connected by way of the USB connecting cable.
This indicates recognition of the USB connection to
the KTS 515.
4.2
Installing the "BEA-PC" software
and configuring KTS 515
When installing the "BEA-PC" software, the "CDC"
(Central Device Communication) and "On-Board
Diagnosis 2.0" software is also installed on the
computer.
The "DMC" (Diagnostic Module Configuration)
software is used for configuring, activating and testing
KTS modules. "DMC" can be started in the "BEA-PC"
or "CDC" software.

Fitting the mount
The mount included in the scope of delivery permits
attachment of the KTS 515 to a Bosch trolley and
subsequent removal.
1. Screw in the three oval head screws contained in the
scope of delivery at the Bosch trolley (refer to fig. 4).

2. Use the self-tapping screws included in the scope
of delivery to screw the mount to the KTS 515
(mounting holes are provided on the back of the
module).
3. Correct the penetration depth of the oval head
screws at the trolley to ensure secure and firm
mounting of the KTS 515.
