5. Preparing for Measurement

If the device beeps four times and displays the Low Bat-
tery Icon („ "), the batteries are depleted and must
be changed.

5.1 Inserting/Changing Batteries

1. Remove the Battery Compart-
ment Cover from the rear of the
device.
2. Insert 4 AA 1.5V alkaline batter-
ies (included) according to the
polarity markings inside the
compartment.
NOTE: Do not use rechargeable batteries.
3. Reattach the Battery Compartment Cover.
Once the batteries have been removed from the device,
the time must be set again.
Set the date and time as described below. Any saved
measurements will be retained.
If the battery change icon
nated, measurement is no longer possible and you must
replace all the batteries.
