Important:
Incorrectly wired connections will produce a
short circuit later on in the product or fuse box.
In this case, you must identify the individual
cables and re-connect them.
5 Mounting
• Check all components for damage.
• Do not use the product if it is damaged.
• Select an appropriate mounting location,
taking the reach into consideration. (Page 6)
Concealed mounting
• Drill a hole into the ceiling using a 90 mm
core drill (Fig 51)
• Push insulating sleeve onto cable grip
(Fig 52)
• and fit cable grip (permissible cable
diameter 8 to 17 mm). Fit electronics cover.
(Fig 52)
• Pinch spring clip together and push sensor
into ceiling (Fig 53)
• Switch ON power supply (Fig 54)
Surface mounting
• Mark drill holes (Fig 55)
• Drill holes and insert wall plugs (Fig 56)
• Connect conductors (Fig 57)
• Screw down sensor enclosure (Fig 58)
• Fit sensor unit (Fig 59)
• Switch ON power supply (Fig 59)
6 Function
Factory settings
Twilight setting: daytime operation
Time setting: 5 minutes
Reach setting: max
Night light: OFF
No constant-lighting control
Relay as ON / OFF light group
Note:
Reach can be set mechanically. All other
settings can only be made via the Smart
Remote.
Reach adjustment
Adjustable in stages
– Control dial set to maximum = max. reach
(20 × 20 m)
– Control dial set to minimum = min. reach
(8 × 8 m)
Time setting
The chosen stay-ON time can be set to any
period between 5 seconds and 60 minutes.
The sensor switches OFF after the stay-ON
time expires.
Twilight setting
The chosen response threshold can be
infinitely varied from approx. 10 to 1,000 lux.
Night light
Night light provides illumination at approx.
10 to 50 % of full light output. The light only
switches to the selected light output level
(100 %) in response to movement in the
detection zone (see Time setting).
Constant light
Provides a constant level of brightness.
The integrated brightness sensor measures
the prevailing level of daylight and activates
sufficient artificial light to achieve the required
level of brightness. As daylight changes, the
added artificial lighting component is adjusted.
In addition to the daylight component, artificial
light is also switched ON and OFF in relation to
whether or not persons are present.
Neighbouring-light function
The neighbouring-light function can be activat-
ed and deactivated via the Smart Remote. It is
possible to select maximum light output as well
as half light output. When the lighting group's
sensor detects a movement, the neighbouring
groups are either switched to main light or to a
defined dimmed lighting level (night-light level).
The neighbouring-light function only works with
a master / master system interconnected via
the P conductor. This function is only possible
with further DALI plus sensors.
ECO ON function
Light switches ON automatically at dimmed
level (10 – 70 %) in response to movement.
Light only switches to full output (100 %) after
operating the switch.
