Optionally, you can connect an external DC power source to the "DC in" jack at the

You can purchase from your supplier at any time a power unit (ref. NGPIEACC006) or
a solar panel with built-in rechargeable battery (ref. NGPIEACC009). Do not use

4. Inserting the SD card
WARNING: Make sure the camera power switch is in the OFF position before inserting
or removing the SD card.
The camera uses a standard SD (Secure Digital) memory card to save photos (in .JPG format)
and/or videos (in .AVI format). SD and SDHC (High Capacity) cards up to a maximum 32GB
capacity are supported.
Before inserting the SD card into the card slot after opening the camera's front cover, please
make sure that the write-protect switch on the side of the card is not in the LOCK position.
Insert the SD card into the card slot with its label side upwards and the contacts facing down
(see icon on the right side of the slot). A "click" sound indicates that the card is installed
successfully.
Formatting the SD card by using the camera "Format" parameter before using it for the first
time is recommended, especially when the card has been used in other devices (see procedure
§ 5.4 TEST menu – parameters and settings list). An SD card formatted in another device may
not be compatible.
To take out the SD card, just gently push in the card (do not try to pull it out without pushing in
first). The card is released from the slot and ready to be removed when you hear the "click"
sound.
WARNING
− You must insert the SD card before putting the power on. If no SD card is
inserted, the camera will shut down automatically.
− Inserting the SD card upside down or backwards could damage the camera or the card.
Damage resulting from inserting the SD card incorrectly is not covered by the warranty.
