5.1. Blocfor

Before using Blocfor
for the first time, it needs to be
®
installed on its bracket provided for this purpose.
5.1.1. Installation of the Blocfor
Davitrac™ bracket
1. Position the Blocfor
®
anchor point (See page 3 fig. 3b or 3c.), and position
the washer (M) and locknut without tightening them.
2. Place the flat-angle bracket on the cable tray of the
Blocfor
bracket and adjust it. Then put in place its
®
mounting screw (See page 3 (fig 4a (F) and (G).
3. Tighten the locknut (F) firmly (fig. 4.a) and tighten
the screw of the flat-angle bracket (G) (fig. 4.a).
5.1.2. Installation of the Blocfor
on the mast of the Davitrac™+ or Davitrac™
1. The Blocfor
Davitrac™ bracket is always placed in
®
the down position on the mast (See page 4 fig. 5a):
• At the front if other compliant equipment is used
(See page 3 fig. 3c); and
• At the rear if the Blocfor
equipment (See page 3 fig. 3b).
2. Position the holes in the bracket inline with the two
holes (L) at the bottom of the mast (See page 4
fig. 5a).
3. Insert the pins attached to the bracket into the holes
(See page 4 fig. 5a items (L) and (M)).
4. Lock the pins with the safety pins (M) (See page 4
fig. 5a items (L) and (M)).
5. Take the cable out of the Blocfor
the left pulley guide (B1) if the Blocfor is the only
equipment on the back of the mast or (C1) if the
other compliant equipment is attached. (See page
3 fig. (3B) or (3C)).
6. Remove the anti-jump cable pin and position the
cable above the PPE pulley on the anchor head
(D1) (see page 3 fig. 3B or 3C).
7. Insert the anti-jump cable pin and lock the safety pin
(see page 3 fig. 3B or 3C).
5.1.3. Dismantling of the Blocfor
Davitrac™+ or Davitrac™ mast
1. Unlock the anti-jump cable safety pin and remove it
(see page 3 fig. 3B or 3C).
WARNING
The cable is automatically brought back by the
Blocfor
bracket; be careful of it making any sudden
®
movements.
2. Remove the cable from the pulleys (see page 3 fig
3B or 3C).

3. Remove the safety pins (L) attached to the pins (M)
on the Blocfor
bracket (see page 4 fig. 5a).
®
4. Remove the pins (M) from the bracket (see page 4
fig. 5a), and hold the bracket and Blocfor
avoid any damage to the equipment.
5. Replace the pins (M) and safety pins (L) on the
bracket.
5.2. Work winch
Before using work winch for the first time, it needs to be
installed on its bracket provided for this purpose.
5.2.1. Installation of work winch on the work
winch Davitrac™ bracket
1. Position the work winch on the plate of the work
winch Davitrac™ bracket (see page 3 fig 4b).
2. Position the work winch facing the corresponding
holes on the plate of work winch bracket (see page
3 fig 4b).
3. Insert the four screws (H) supplied with the bracket
into the holes (see page 3 fig 4b).
4. Position the washers on the screws (I) then tighten
the four locknuts firmly (see page 3 fig 4b)
5.2.2. Installation of the work winch Davitrac™ bracket
on the mast of the Davitrac™+ or Davitrac™
1. The work winch Davitrac™ bracket is always placed
in the high position (A1) at the rear of the mast (see
page 3 fig. 3a).
2. Position the holes in the bracket inline with the two
holes (A) at the top of the mast (see page 3 fig. 3a).
3. Insert the pins attached to the bracket into the holes
(See page 4, fig 5b, item O).
4. Lock the pins with the safety pins (See page 4, fig
5b, item P).
5. Take the cable out of the work winch to pass it over
the right pulley guide ((A1) on the back of the mast
fig. (3A) or (3C).
6. Remove the anti-jump cable pin and position the
cable above the lifting pulley on the anchor head
(see page 3 fig. 3B or 3C) (for rescue and load lifting
operations or rope access).
7. Insert the anti-jump cable pin and lock the safety pin
(see page 3 fig. 3B or 3C).
5.2.3. Dismantling of the work winch Davitrac™
bracket
1. Unlock the anti-jump cable safety pin and remove it
(see page 3 fig 3B or 3C).
2. Remove the cable from the pulleys (see page 3 fig
3B or 3C).
3. Remove the safety pins attached to the pins on the
work winch bracket (See page 4, fig 5b, item P).
