power tools are carried with a finger on the switch, or plugged in with the switch on, this can
lead to accidents.
Remove any adjusting tools or chuck keys before switching on the power tool. A tool or span-
ner inserted into a rotating part of the power tool may cause injury when starting operation.
Be cautious. Avoid adopting a position that fatigues your body; keep a firm footing on the
ground and maintain your balance at all times. This will allow you to better control the power
tool in the event of an unexpected situation.
Wear appropriate clothing. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing
and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothing, jewellery or long hair can get caught in
moving parts.
Wherever it is possible to use dust extraction or collection equipment, ensure that it is in-
stalled and used correctly. The use of dust collection equipment reduces dust-related risks.
This tool is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced or impaired
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the tool by a person responsible for
their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not use the tool as a toy.
4. Use and care of power tools
Do not overload the power tool. Use the right power tool for the job to be done. With the
right power tool you can work better and safer within the specified power range.
Do not use power tools with a defective switch. Power tools that cannot be switched on or
off are dangerous and must be repaired.
Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or battery pack before making adjustments,
changing accessories or storing the power tool. This preventive measure reduces the risk of
accidentally switching on the power tool.
Ensure that power tools are kept out of the reach of children and persons unfamiliar with
their use. Power tools used by inexperienced persons are dangerous.
Take good care of your power tool. Check to confirm proper operation with no binding of
moving parts, and for any broken or damaged parts that could affect the operation of the
tool. If the power tool is defective, have it repaired before using it again. Many accidents are
caused by poorly maintained power tools.
Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting
edges are less prone to jamming and easier to control.
Use the power tool, accessories and other parts in accordance with these instructions,
taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. The use of power
tools for work other than that for which they are intended can be dangerous.
5. Technical service
Have your power tool repaired only by authorised service personnel, using only original spare
