Note: To keep regulatory compliance, use only the external antenna for the CAx440EX field transmitter that is
approved by the manufacturer (LXZ449.99.00009).

2.5 Product overview
The CAx440EX field transmitter is used with a GS1440 or GS2440EX sensor. The field transmitter
supplies power to the sensor through the Power/4–20 mA sensor cable and receives the sensor
measurements through the Power/4–20 mA and RS-232 sensor cables.
The field transmitter transmits the hydrogen sulfide and temperature measurements (RS-232 signal)
to a cloud service called Hach H
In addition, the field transmitter can supply the sensor measurements (4–20 mA analog output) to a
device (e.g., SCADA or PLC).
