Press the TUNER/BAND button to select a band.
Check whether the preset tuning mode is selected.
If a preset number (_) is displayed, the preset tuning mode is
already selected. Skip this step.
If a preset number is not displayed, press the I_ button.
Press the ,q,,n DOWN
or =,.D, UP button to select a
preset number.
Each time it is pressed, the preset number is changed.

Frequencies
have already been set for each preset number in the
factory.
Each of them can be replaced by your desired station,
or it can be
skipped by carrying
out the following
steps.
To skip needless preset numbers (preset skip function)
You can skip a preset number that need not be received.
1 Press the I_ TUNING/PRESET button to extinguish the preset
number, if it is displayed in the display window.

Press the IIII SET button so that the preset number flashes.

Press the <1-11 DOWN or I_=,, UP button to display the preset
number you want to skip.

Press the • CLEAR button.
The _,'_ mark and the preset number flash in the display.

Press the I1| SET button.
The _,'_" mark and the preset number in the display flash and
go out. The setting is completed.
To restore
the skipped
preset
number
Follow steps 1 to 5 of "To skip needless preset numbers",
In step 4, the ;,_'" mark is deleted.

To change the AM tuning interval.
The AM tuning interval is factory-set to 10 kHz.
If youuse thisunitwhere the frequency allocationsystem is 9 kHz,
press the POWER button to turn off the power. Then, while
pressingthe TUNER button, press the POWER button. To reset
the interval,repeat this procedure.
After changing
the AM tuning interval,
the preset stations
of any
band
you have preset
(see page 26) are cleared.
The preset
stations
have to be set again.
