Cooling Mode Button
Activates the evaporative cooling
mechanism reducing the temperature of
the surrounding air.
Filling The Water Tank
For the cooling mode to function the
appliances water tank requires filling.
Ensure fresh water is added to the water
tank prior to every use.
To fill the water tank:
1.
Turn off the appliance and unplug it
from the power socket.
2.
Open the water tank filler.
3.
Fill the water tank with fresh water to
the max line.
For enhanced cooling add ice cubes and/
or the two ice packs to the water tank
also.
To add ice cubes and/or the two ice packs
to the water tank:
1.
Turn off the appliance and unplug it
from the power socket.
2.
Remove the filter casing from the rear
of the appliance to gain easy access
to the water tank.
3.
Insert ice cubes and/or the two ice
packs into the water tank.
4.
Return the filter casing to the rear of
the appliance.
Notes:
•
If the water level is too low three
beeps will sound and the cooling
mode indicator will continue to flash
until cooling mode is turned off and/or

the water tank has been refilled with
water.
•
Place the ice packs in a freezer for at
least four hours prior to use.
•
Do not fill the water tank over the max
line or below the min line.

Emptying The Water Tank
Due to the large capacity of the water tank
it is recommended to run the appliance
until the water level is at the min line prior
to emptying the water tank.
Once the water level is at the min line, to
empty the water tank:
1.
Turn off the appliance and unplug it
from the power socket.
2.
Place a shallow tray underneath the
water outlet.
3.
Remove the water tank plug clip and
the water tank plug and allow the
water to collect in the shallow tray.
4.
To fully empty the water tank gently tilt
the appliance back on its rear wheels.
Do not tilt more than 30 degrees.
5.
Once empty, return the appliance to a
fully upright position and replace the
water tank plug and water tank plug
clip.
6.
Empty the shallow tray.
7.
Remove the filter casing from the rear
of the appliance to gain easy access
to the water tank.
8.
Dry the water tank using a soft cloth.
9.
Return the filter casing to the rear of
the appliance.
Notes:
•
If the shallow tray is not large enough
to hold all of the water from the
appliance, replace the water tank plug
and water tank plug clip to prevent
water flowing onto the floor. Empty the
shallow tray and continue from step 2.
•
If the water tank level is above the
min line and no time is available to run
the appliance so that the water level
reaches the min line prior to emptying
the water tank, it is recommended to
partially empty the water tank using a
small jug until the water level reaches
the min line. To gain easy access to
the water tank so that a small jug may
be used, remove the filter casing from
the rear of the appliance. Alternatively,
if you have access to a drainage
point the water tank can be emptied
directly over the drainage point.
