General information
∙ A measuring scale on the water
container and on the glass carafe
facilitates filling the container with the
correct amount of clean water. The
scale refers to regular-sized cups of
approx.125 ml.
∙ Do not exceed the indicated max.
number of cups.
∙ If several consecutive brewing cycles
are required, switch off the coffee maker
after each cycle and let the appliance
cool down for approx. 5 minutes.
∙ Important note: When filling the
appliance with fresh water shortly after
a brewing cycle is completed, there is
a danger of scalding from hot water
or steam escaping through the water
outlet.

amount of cold water.
∙ Fitting the filter insert:
Fit the filter insert into the filter holder so

Insert a 1x4-sized paper filter into the filter

Wait until all the water has passed through
the filter before the carafe is removed from
the appliance.
∙ K eeping the coffee warm:
The coffee may be kept warm inside the
carafe by leaving it standing on the hot-

To interrupt the brewing cycle, or if the
keeping-warm function is not needed, use
the On/Off switch to turn the appliance off.
∙ S witching off the coffee maker:
Once brewing/keeping-warm is complete,
remove the plug from the wall socket.
Descaling
∙ Depending on the water quality (lime
content) in your area as well as the
frequency of use, all thermal household
appliances using hot water need
descaling (i.e. removal of lime deposits)
on a regular basis to warrant proper
functioning.
∙ Any warranty claim will be null and
