6.1 Routine maintenance

WARNING!
Before carrying out any maintenance operation, disconnect the tool from the compressed air hose.
All the maintenance operations which are not described in this manual have to be performed in a
CAMPAGNOLA S.r.l. Authorized Service Point.
The ordinary maintenance operations may be carried out by the operators.

6.1.1 General

Before any maintenance operations:
Engage the safety catch (23).
Disconnect the compressed air hose.

6.1.2 Lubrication

Every 20 working hours use an oiler to add some oil drops through the air fitting (26). Use Campagnola BIG FLU or low
toxic FUDY FLU.
Lubricate the link (6) of the rake (2) with spray grease.
Periodically check the oil level in the lubricator of the compressor (see the note in par. 4.2).
WARNING!
Do not use hydraulic oil or oil for braking systems. They may cause irreversible damages.

6.1.3 Cleaning and putting the tool away

At the end of work, it is good practice to pour some diesel fuel drops through the air fitting (26), located on the handle,
before putting the harvester away. To do this, make the tool idle for few seconds.
This will prevent dirt and moist air from forming build-ups.
WARNING!
Do not throw the oil out in the environment. Always observe current environmental protection laws when disposing
of the oil.

6.2 Special maintenance

6.2.1 General
Before any maintenance operation:
Disconnect the compressed air hose.
WARNING!
Any special maintenance operation shall be performed in a CAMPAGNOLA S.r.l. Authorised Service Point.

6.2.2 Cleaning the handle valve (28)

Unscrew the valve tap.
Carefully remove the valve.
Check the seal and replace it even if only slightly worn out.
Blow compressed air onto the stem and seat of the valve, then assemble it again by following the operations in reverse.

6.2.3 Replacing piston seals (17) and shock absorbers (21)

Loosen the screws (10) that secure the oscillator protection (11).
Unscrew the self-locking nut (9).
Use a 4 mm Allen wrench to remove the piston (14) from the oscillator (8).
Loosen the 4 screws (16) that secure the rake support to the body.
Remove the piston (14) and replace the seals (16) or shock absorbers (21) even if only slightly worn out.
Perform the steps in reverse order to reassemble the parts.
