- OPERATING THE TOOL
5.1 Operating instructions
Put on the personal protective equipment shown in picture (C) and make sure that all safety systems and protective devices
are correctly installed and fully operative.
WARNING!
Just use compressors or pneumatic systems which comply with the current Laws and are fitted with maximum security valves.
WARNING!
•
Turn on the tool only after it has been placed between the branches. An erroneous use would cause the tool early
wear- and-tear and excessive air consumption.
•
Do not use the tool without the link protection (11).
•
Do not make the rakes (2) idle. They may be seriously damaged.
•
Use the tool for the aims described in "Product Description" only. Any other kind of use may cause injuries.
Firmly hold the handle with both hands and then proceed as directed below:
a)
Carefully place a branch between the rakes (2). Press the control lever (24), that operates the tool, by hand. Comb the
branches from top to bottom. The fruits will come off the branches.
b)
After all the fruits have come off the branches, release the control lever (24) to stop the tool. Repeat the operation from step a).
WARNING!
If the harvester gets entangled or stops among the branches, disconnect the air supply hose and manually unlock the tool.
5.2 Troubleshooting
WARNING!
All the following maintenance operations have to be performed by a mechanic.
FAULT
The rake (2) does not work.
The rake (2) has no power.
Air comes out when the control lever
(24) is pressed.
The rakes (2) work too slowly or jam. a)
The rakes (2) stall.
NOTE
If the above remedies do not solve the problem, contact an Authorized Service Point.

CAUSE
a)
The air flow regulator on the compres-
sor is closed.
b)
The air hose is clogged.
a)
The air supply hose is dirty.
b)
The compressor pressure is too low.
c)
The piston (14) is not lubricated.
a)
The valve (28) seal is worn out or ruined. a)
The links (6) are not lubricated.
a)
The piston (30) and the cap (31) are worn
out.
REMEDY
a)
Set the air flow regulator to 7 bar (Olistar
Metal Top, Diablo) or 6 bar (Olistar
Tuono, Diablo 1800 EVO, Piuma).
b)
Disconnect the air hose and make sure
the fittings are in perfect condition and
clean inside.
a)
Disconnect the supply hose and blow in
compressed air to remove any dirt.
b)
Make sure the compressor reaches 7
bar (Olistar Metal Top, Diablo) or 6 bar
(Olistar Tuono. Diablo 1800 EVO, Piuma).
c)
Check the oil level in the compressor
lubricator.
Remove the valve (25) on the handle
and replace the seals (28) even if only
slightly worn.
a)
Lubricate the links (6) and check the
lubrication of the compressor.
a)
Check the wear-and-tear of piston, cap
and seals.
