9 Problems with the fastening tool
WARNING! Risk of injury! Before you start troubleshooting, make sure there are no cartridges in the
fastening tool. If the cartridges cannot be removed, contact Hilti Service
If the trouble you are experiencing is not listed in this table or you are unable to remedy the problem by
yourself, please contact Hilti Service.

▶ Pull the cartridge strip through
to the next cartridge.
▶ Turn the selector ring for driving

replace if necessary.

problem persists.
▶ Service the tool.

▶ Check the straightness of the
piston; replace if necessary.
▶ Press the fastening tool fully
against the working surface.
▶ Remove the cartridge strip and
service the tool.
▶ Check piston and buffer.
