6. TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
The light is on, but
the motor does not
work
Neither the light bulb
nor the motor works
Grease falls out of the
aluminium filters
The kitchen hood
vibrates
The kitchen hood
is not sufficiently
extracting

Cause
The kitchen hood is obstructed.
The condenser is damaged.
Motor is jammed or bearing
damaged.
Motor is burnt or gives off a bad
smell.
In addition to the above, check the following:
The light bulb has blown.
Power cable is loose.
The filters are very dirty.
The fan is damaged, causing the
kitchen hood to vibrate when
extracting air.
The engine is not securely
fastened.
The kitchen hood is not securely
fastened.
The distance between the
kitchen hood and the cooking
surface is too large.
There is too much ventilation in
the room due to open doors or
windows.
Solution
Remove what is obstructing
the hood.
Replace the condenser.
Replace the motor.
Replace the motor.
Replace the light bulb.
Connect the cables according
to the wiring diagram.
Clean or replace the aluminium
filters immediately.
Replace the fan.
Fix the engine correctly.
Fix the kitchen hood correctly.
Readjust the distance.
Relocate and reinstall the
kitchen hood.
