3.3.1.3 Precautions to be followed during the Lifting and Transportation Phases
During the lifting and transportation phases, it is necessary to follow the precautions outlined in the present paragraph.
For these operations, only designate specialized personnel , trained on the machine handling procedures and capable of
choosing and safely using the lifting and transportation means most suitable to the circumstance (for example, pallet trucks,
leverage tools, hoists).
Check and, if need be, make sure that all the parts that can move are correctly fastened (or, where provisioned, removed
and reassembled once the operation is completed).
Do not lift, for any whatsoever reason, the various parts of the machine by grabbing them by the non-structural elements (for
example, cables or sheaths).
Make sure no persons are in proximity of the area where the lifting, handling, and unloading operations are being
performed, and always keep at a proper safety distance.
Pay special attention not to bump into the guards of the machine during its handling, thus jeopardizing its safety level.
Always inform of the commencement of maneuvers in advance.
Do not transit below hanging loads.
Do not have yourself transported together with the loads.
3.3.2 Installation and Connection to the Power Supply
3.3.2.1 Residual risks present during the Installation and Connection to the Power Supply Phases
During the installation and connection to the power supply phases, risks are present tied to:
operations on the machine by personnel that isn't properly qualified, trained, informed, or equipped.
contact with elements under voltage;
collision or crushing caused by components of the machine being moved;
tripping or falling in proximity of the connections to the electrical power supply;
projection and/or contact with refrigerant gas loaded on the machine;
damaging of the machine during the installation and connection to the power supply phases.
3.3.2.2 Necessary Individual Protection Devices
3.3.2.3 Signs Present
The machine is supplied with specific danger and forbidden signs; see Paragraph 3. 4 – Safety Signs.
3.3.2.4 Precautions to be followed during the Installation and Connection to the Power Supply
Phases
During the installation and connection to the power supply phases, it is necessary to follow the precautions outlined in the present
paragraph.
Follow the indications relative to safety reported in Paragraph 3.3.1 - Lifting and Transportation during the necessary
handling operations of the components of the machine.
Use the auxiliary equipment and, in any case, any other machinery or tool (electrical or pneumatic) only after having
undergone specific and formal training.
Choose a site for the installation which:
provides sufficient space for the normal use, as also for the maintenance of the machine,
enables to correctly perform the necessary connections for the machine to function,
As far as the electrical energy is concerned, carry out the connection of the grounding system before any other connection to
the electrical distribution line.
Protect the piping for the connections to the energy sources with sturdy sheaths or suitable conduits for cable passage.
Carry out the required interventions using working instruments that are compliant to norm (ladders, various tools) and paying
the utmost attention to elements which could cause tripping or cuts and bruises.
The operational stations of the machine cannot be occupied until the testing of the machine is carried out: the presence of
any assembling or installation errors could, in fact, cause serious accidents to the operators appointed to operations.
Before proceeding to testing the machine and to its first use, make sure that the parts of which it is made of do not display
physical damages due to collisions, tears, or abrasions, and that all the present connections have been carried out correctly
and without the possibility of disconnecting.
3.3.3 Machine use
3.3.3.1 Residual Risks during Machine Use Phase
During machine use the following risks are present due to:
use of the machine by staff that is unqualified, untrained, uninformed or not correctly equipped.
contact with electrically powered parts;
