3. OPERATION
-
Close the sandwich maker and plug it into a power socket: the red and green indicator
lights will come on, indicating that the sandwich maker is preheating.
-
After 5 minutes, the indicator light will go out.
-
Open the sandwich maker and place the sandwich, meat, etc. on the lower cooking plate.
-
Cook the food for 3-6 minutes until it reaches the desired golden brown.
-
Once the food is cooked, use the handle to open the sandwich maker and remove the food
with a plastic spatula and never with metal utensils to protect the non-stick coating of
the plates. When you have finished cooking, unplug the appliance and leave it open to cool
down.
-
For best results, lightly brush the cooking plates with a little oil or butter.
NOTE: The sandwich maker may give off some smoke or odour when it is first preheated.
This is normal and does not affect the operation or safety of the device. During toasting, the
thermostat indicator light will turn on and off, indicating that the appliance is being maintained
at a suitable toasting temperature. Only cook with the sandwich maker closed, and never touch
the hot areas of the appliance while the high temperature indicator is on.
Remove the cooking plates
-
Always unplug the sandwich maker and allow it to cool down before removing the cooking
plates.
-
Open the sandwich maker and press the plate release tab on the front, the plate will lift
slightly. Hold the plate with both hands, slide it out and remove it. Press the release tab
on the other plate to remove it in the same way. To replace them, repeat the process in
reverse.
4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
-
Always unplug the sandwich maker and allow it to cool down before removing cleaning
it. It's easier to clean the sandwich maker if it is slightly warm. It is not necessary to
disassemble the sandwich maker for cleaning. Never immerse the sandwich maker in
water or wash it in a dishwasher.
-
Wash the plates with water or put them in the dishwasher.
-
Wipe the plates with a soft cloth to remove food residues. To remove food residues stuck
to the plate, pour some warm water mixed with detergent over them and wipe with a
non-abrasive plastic scouring pad or place wet kitchen paper on the plate to moisten the
food residues.
