DT.4764 Camshaft Setting Plate Set
Comprises: DT.4764-1 Exhaust Camshaft Setting Plate

NOTE: DT.4764-1 Setting Plate also indicates correct belt tensioner position.

Fitting new belt and initial tensioning
Fit new timing belt and exhaust camshaft sprocket.
IMPORTANT: All camshaft sprocket bolts should be loose and in the centre of slotted holes in the sprockets.
Check the Lever Arm of DT.4764-1 Setting Plate is resting on tensioner pointer and moves freely up and down.
Turn tensioner anti-clockwise anti-clockwise anti-clockwise anti-clockwise anti-clockwise so the pointer reacts upon the Lever Arm and the upper part of the Arm

Final tensioning
Remove DT.4763 Crank Pin and both Cam Setting Plates.
Turn crankshaft clockwise clockwise clockwise 4 revolutions, returning to timing position. Insert DT.4763 Locking Pin and re-fit the two Camshaft clockwise clockwise
Setting Plates, bolting firmly in place.
Slacken the 6 x camshaft sprocket bolts and tensioner bolt. Turn tensioner clockwise

The tensioner pointer is now aligned within the groove- see diagram.
Tighten tensioner bolt and 6 x camshaft sprocket bolts. Remove all tools.
