10. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Warning
The following warnings are integral and essential to this product. They must be provided to the user.
Read these warnings carefully. They contain important information on the installation, use and maintenance
of this product.
Keep this manual in a safe place and provide it to any subsequent persons who use or install this product.
Installing or using this product incorrectly could result in severe damage, injury or death.
Installation instructions
•
Do not change the original settings unless required to do so (speed, sensitivity, weight, etc.)
•
The installer must ensure that the operating temperature range is appropriate to site conditions.
•
Before turning the product on for the first time, make sure the covers and guards are firmly tightened or
interlocked.
•
Keep moving parts free of all obstacles.
•
Access to auxiliary keypads or controls must be restricted to persons authorised by current local,
national and European legislation.
•
This product must be used, wired and adjusted in accordance with standard practices.
•
Do not dispose of the box, plastic, polystyrene, and other packing materials in the environment. Keep
them out of the reach of children as they present a possible hazard.
•
Do not install the product in environments where there is a risk of explosion or disturbance from
electromagnetic fields.
•
The presence of gas or flammable fumes is a severe safety hazard.
•
Install a surge protector on the electrical supply (i.e. a circuit breaker, isolating switch and / or ground
fault circuit interrupter (GFCI)) compatible with the product and current standards.
•
The manufacturer declines all responsibility in the event systems and / or components that adversely
affect the product's integrity, safety or operation are installed.
•
Original spare parts must be used to repair or build the product.
•
The installer must provide all information on operating, maintaining and using each part and on the entire
system itself.
Maintenance
•
Maintain the system in perfect electrical and mechanical working order and keep it up to standard.
Regularly check its various components to make sure they are in good condition and proper working
order.
•
To keep the product operating at top performance, installation technicians must follow current legislation
and safety rules.
•
Installation and cleaning procedures must be documented and kept by the user for reference by a
qualified installation / cleaning technician.
