The following information on hazards and precautions includes the most probable situations that may arise during the
use of this machine. Consult all the documentation, packaging and product labels before using it.
If you encounter a situation not described in this manual use common sense to use the machine as safely as possible
and, if you see danger, do not use the machine.
USERS

This machine has been designed to be manipulated only by users of legal age who have read and understood these
instructions. Do not allow people who may not understand these instructions or under age to use this machine.
•
Familiarize yourself with this machine before using it. Make sure you know the controls and safety devices and
how they should be used.
•
If you are an inexperienced user, we recommend that you do some practice doing simple jobs and, if possible, in
the company of an experienced person.
PERSONAL SAFETY
•
Be alert and use common sense when operating this machine. Never use the machine with defective protections
or without safety devices.
•
Do not modify the controls of this machine.
•
Do not use this machine if any of its components is damaged.
•
Avoid inhaling exhaust gases. This machine produces dangerous gases such as carbon monoxide that can cause
dizziness, fainting or even death.
•
Do not use this machine when you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication.
•
Remove all keys or hand tools from the work area before starting this machine. A key or tool that is nearby can
be touched by a moving part of the machine and be projected causing personal injury.
•
Avoid accidental starting of the equipment; make sure that the equipment and the switches of the power supply
are in the OFF position before connecting or moving the product. Do not hold the equipment with your hands or
fingers touching any of the controls.
•
Always be sure to maintain a good balance and be in a safe position. Always keep your feet firmly on the ground
and operate the machine only when it is on a fixed, secure and levelled surface. Sliding or unstable surfaces can
cause a loss of balance or control of the machine.
•
It is not recommended to use this machine on slopes with more than 5% gradient. Cutting into mounds can
be dangerous. Be careful when walking on slopes or wet grass. Be especially careful when changing directions
on a slope. Cut parallel to the surface of the slope, never up and down. If you are an inexperienced user, we
recommend that you have a minimum practice on a flat surface.
•
Do not put your hands or feet under the mower. Keep all body parts away from the blade when the machine is in
operation. Before starting the mower, make sure that the blade is not in contact with any object.
•
The cutting device of this machine is sharp. Keep all body parts away from cutting elements and moving parts
when the machine is running. Before starting the machine, make sure that the cutting element is not in contact

Hold the mower with both hands on the handlebar and always stand behind it.
•
Do not touch the exhaust of the machine with the engine running or just after stopping it. The exhaust of this machine
reaches high temperatures during engine operation and stays warm for a few minutes after the engine stops.
•
Do not leave this machine running without supervision. If you have to leave the machine unattended turn off the
engine, wait for the cutting tool to stop and unplug the spark plug wire.
•
Do not attempt to remove cut material from the cutting tool when it is moving. Make sure that the machine is
switched off when you carry out cleaning work on scraps of material.
