If your telephone outlet is not
modular, contact your telephone
service company for assistance.

If you have 2 phone lines on a
single RJ*14 phone jack with
4 wires, the answering machine
will only answer the first phone
line on the center pair of wires.
Please consult your telephone
company for rewiring if you
need to answer the second phone
line which uses the outer pair of
wires.
Center pair

Connect the AC power adaptor (supplied) to the
DC IN 12V jack on the answering machine and to
an AC outlet.
When you connect the AC power adaptor, the answering
machine takes about 10 seconds to reset
Observe the message counter, and when it shows flashing
"P", the answering machine is ready for use.

Connect your telephone.
First unplug your telephone from the telephone outlet.
Then connect the telephone to the TEL Jack on the
answering machine.
Skip this step if you do not want to connect a telephone to
the answering machine.

Connect the telephone line cord (supplied) to the
UNE jack on the answering machine and to a
telephone outlet.
■ Note on the AC power adaptor-
Use only the AC power adaptor supplied. Do not use any other
AC power adaptor.
