Problem
Cause/Solution
Recording
You cannot record your
greeting properly.
• Keep your message between 2 seconds and 4 minutes.
• Make sure you speak about 30 cm (12 inches) away from the
microphone when recording a greeting.
• Make sure the answering function is turned on (see page 22).
• Makesure the AUDIBLE 1ND/ANNOUNCE ONLY switchis not
set to the leftmost position (ANNOUNCE ONLY ON).
• Make sure the memory is not full; if the memory is full, erase some
or alt of the messages (see page 25).
• Callers cannot leave messages that are longer than 4 minutes.
Playing back messages
No time stamp is heard.
• Make sure the day and time are set (see page 15).
• The day and time may have been cleared due to a power
interruption. Set them again (see page 15).
Using remote operations
The answering machine
• Make sure you call horn a pushbutton (tone) phone.

• Make sure the one-digit security code is entered within two seconds
