Calling from a remote phone
Using the toll-saver feature
If any new messages are recorded, the answering machine will
answer after three rings. If no new messages are recorded, it will
answer after five rings. When you call from a pushbutton phone and
hear more than three rings, you will know that there are no new
messages and you can then hang up, saving you the cost of the call
This toll-saver feature is available in normal answering mode only
(when the AUDIBLE AMD/ ANNOUNCE ONLY switch is set to
AUDIBLE DMD ON or OFF).
If the answering machine is set to the announcement only mode, it
will automatically answer after five rings.
