4 Adjusting the Width of "The Back"

One special advantage of "The Back" is the width adjustment capability. "The Back" has been
so designed as to make adjustments for the individual requirements of the user possible, and
can also be adjusted to fit various wheelchairs.
This is achieved with two different width adjustments. After having adjusted the back width for a
particular user, the second width adjustment is used to adapt "The Back" to the user's wheelchair.
"The Back" is offered in two standard sizes (see Table).

Attention!
It may be necessary to slide the lower assembly adapters up or down to find the most
suitable position for the user. Do not completely tighten the screws yet.
Attention!
The lower assembly adapter notch can be positioned in either the posterior position
(Fig. 2) or in the anterior position; however, in the anterior position the seat depth
will be affected.
Attention!
Do not overtighten the screws to avoid deforming or damaging the assembly adapter
brackets (Fig. 2 B).
