Kitchen timer
The timer can be set for periods of up to 99 minutes. It is
independent
of the other settings. You can also use the
kitchen timer when the cooktop
is turned off or locked.
This function does not automatically
switch off an
element.
Setting the kitchen timer
1. Touch the Timer key until the L_ indicator lights up.
LaLaappears on the timer display.
2. Set the desired time using the number keys.
The timer start to count down after a few seconds.
To display the remaining time, touch the Timer key until
Child lock
You can use the child lock to prevent children from
accidentally
turning the cooktop on.
Turning the child lock on
The cooktop
must be turned off.
Touch Clean Lock/Child
Lock for 4 seconds. The
• indicator lights up for 4 seconds. The cooktop
is now
locked.
Turning the child lock off
Touch Clean Lock/Child Lock for 4 seconds. The safety
panel lock is now canceled.
the L_ indicator lights up. After 10 seconds the timer
display will turn off.
Once the time has elapsed
A beep sounds. "_"_
LaLa and L_ indicators
light up. Touch the
Timer key. The indicators
go out and the beep stops.
Changing the time
Touch the Timer key until the L_ indicator lights up and
set a new time using number keys.

CAUTION
The child lock may be accidentally
turned on and off
due to:
,_ water spilled during cleaning
,_ food that has overflowed
,_ objects being placed on the
Clean Lock/Child
Lock touch key.
Clearing the time
Touch the Timer key until the L_ indicator lights up.
Touch the 0 key until nn
uu appears on the timer display.
The L_ indicator goes out.
Automatic
Shutoff
The appliance
features an automatic shutoff function.
Automatic shutoff is activated when the settings have not
been changed over an extended period of time. The time
when automatic shutoff is activated is based on the
temperature
selected.
Shutoff Activated
I--8 appears in the display. Operation is interrupted.
Touch any key to make the display indicator disappear.
You can now adjust the settings.
Automatic child lock
With this function, the child lock is automatically
activated
whenever you switch off the cooktop.
Turning on and off
See "Basic settings" section.
Clean Lock
Cleaning the control panel while the cooktop is on may
change the settings.
In order to avoid this the cooktop
has a Clean Lock
function. Touch Clean Lock/Child
Lock. The • indicator
above this key appears. The control panel is locked for
approximately
35 seconds. You can now clean the
surface of the control panel without risk of changing the
settings.
After the time has elapsed a beep will sound. The Clean
Lock is deactivated.
The Clean Lock function does not affect the main switch.
You can turn off the cooktop at any time.
