3.2 Installation of the indoor unit
Step 1. Select the installation site
1.1 Ensure that the installation complies with the minimum installation dimensions shown in
Figure 4 and complies with the minimum and maximum length of the connection pipe and the
maximum change in elevation.
1.2 The air inlet and outlet shall be free of obstructions, ensuring airflow throughout the
room.
1.3 Condensate can be drained easily and safely.
1.4 All connections can easily be made to the outdoor unit.
1.5 The indoor unit is out of the reach of children.
1.6 The mounting wall is strong enough to support four times the total weight and vibration of
the unit.
1.7 The filter is easily accessible for cleaning.
1.8 Leave sufficient clearance to allow access for routine maintenance.
1.9 Install at least 3 m (10 ft.) away from the TV or radio antenna. Air conditioning operation
may interfere with radio or television reception in areas where reception is weak. An amplifier
may be required for the affected device.
1.10 Do not install in a laundry room or by a swimming pool due to the corrosive environment.
1.11 In the case of the ETL certification area, it is noted that the lowest moving part at the time
of installation must be at least 2.4 metres (8 feet) above the ground.
Minimum indoor distances
Follow the minimum distances shown in Figure 4.
Step 2. Install the mounting plate. Fig. 5
2.1 Take the mounting plate from the back of the indoor unit.
2.2 Make sure to comply with the minimum installation dimension requirements as stated
in step 1, depending on the size of the mounting plate, determine the position and place the
