The PRIORITY PTY function is a function
which allows a previous setting of a program
type such as music category, news, etc. and
allows you to listen to a program belong to the
program type by automatically interrupting it
into the program you are currently listening
when the program begins in a broadcasting
with your unit set to a mode other than the LW/
MW.

"PRIO PTY" is displayed for 2 seconds and
then the program type for 5 seconds. (Initial
setting is "NEWS".)
Note: If no button is pressed within 5 seconds
after pressing the PTY button, the
PRIORITY PTY mode is automatically
cancelled.
Press the DN or UP button within 5 seconds
for which "NEWS'" is being displayed to
choose a desired programme type, and then
press the PTY button for 2 seconds. The
PRIORITY PTY function will activate.
Press the button for 2 seconds to activate the
PRIORITY PTY mode again.

To change the program category, perform
the step 2.

To disable the PRIORITY PTY function,
press the button for less than 2 seconds.
Note: In the PRIORITY PTY function differing
from the T. INFO function, the sound
volume does not increase during
operation.
