USING EXTERNAL UNITS

@ AUX-1,AUX-2 input
To listen to or record audio signals from external units such as
DAT or TV.
1 Use RCA cables to connect the desired external unit to the
AUX-1
or AUX-2 sockets. (red ==> right channel, white ==>
left channel)
@ To use an external monaural equipment, connect it to either
the LEFT or RIGHT AUX-2
socket. Then set the STEREO/
MONO switch to MONO.
2 When using the external unit connected to the AUX-2 sockets,
set the STEREO/MONO
switch to the proper position. When
==s=5
using stereo equipment,
set the STEREO/MONO
switch to
STEREO. When using monaural equipment, set the STEREO/
MONO switch to MONO.
3 Set the POWER switch on this unit and the external unit to ON.
4 Press the AUX-1
or AUX-2 button.
5 Activate the external unit.
6 Start recording with this unit if so desired. (See page 18.)

Note:
To prevent hum interference, do not bring this unit near televi-
sions.

@ Be sure that your headphones have a 6.3 mm (1/4) diameter
plug and 8 to 25 ohms impedance.
