ROBLEM SOLVING
This chapter contains information concerning the principal problems that may arise during the Radio Receiver`s
life and is aimed at helping you to quickly resolves such problems. If you encounter a problem that is not
explained here, please contact us by email (support@favero.com).
7.1.

The scoreboard does not light up when switched on

When the scoreboard is supplied with electricity, all the displays should light up for circa 1 second, even if the
Command Console is turned off or disconnected. If this does not occur, proceed as follows:
1) Check that there is power supply at the scoreboard's power switch.
2) Make sure that the power supply cable is properly connected.
7.2.
The connected scoreboards show the time of the day on the chronometer display
The scoreboard shows the time on the chronometer display when the Radio Receiver does not receive any data
from the control console or when the control console is set to show only the time.
Note that the scoreboards without chronometer do not display any data.
1) Make sure that the control console is switched on.
2) Make sure that the control console is not configured to show only the time.
3) Repeat the linking procedure of the Radio Receiver to the Console (paragraph 3.2).
4) If you possess another radio Console, try using it (effectuating the linking procedure).
5) Make sure that the Radio Receiver is power supplied; check that the internal red LED is blinking (see chapter
5).
6) Check that the power supply and data cable is properly connected both to the scoreboard's "
module and to the Radio Receiver, and that it shows no signs of abrasions, cuts, or other types of damage.
7) Temporarily connect the console to the Scoreboard via cable (see FOS Scoreboard Manual). If the scoreboard
functions properly, then replace the control board of the Radio Receiver.
7.3.
The scoreboard displays data that do not correspond to the data of the Console
The Radio Receiver has been linked/connected to another Console by mistake.
1) Repeat the linking procedure of the Receiver to the Console (paragraph 3.2).
7.4.
The scoreboards display the data in a discontinuous way (with wireless connection)
There may be interference due to other radio devices.
1) Eliminate any obstacles (metallic structures, persons, equipment, etc.) between the Console and the Radio
Receiver.
2) Try bringing the Command Console closer to the Radio Receiver.
3) With Console-700, try using the FS2 radio protocol (see paragraph 3.2).
4) Follow the indications given in the control console User Manual on wireless communication between the
console and the scoreboards.
