1. BEFORE USE
- This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the appliance
out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other
packaging elements in a safe place. This will help you prevent damage to the appliance
when transporting it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure
all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
- Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any
piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service
immediately.
- Wash the appliance with warm, soapy water to remove any dirt or oil.
- Dry the appliance thoroughly before using it again.
2. OPERATION

The moka pot is compatible with induction hobs (except for models 300).
- After cleaning the moka pot, fill the bottom chamber with water up to the safety valve.
- Place the funnel basket in the bottom chamber of the moka pot. Fill the funnel basket with
finely-ground espresso coffee.
- Place the top chamber of the moka pot on the base and close it tightly.
- Set the stove to low or medium-low heat. When using a gas-flame stove, make sure the
moka pot's handle is not exposed directly to the flame.
- After a few minutes, the water will start to boil and the coffee will filter to the top chamber
of the moka pot.
- Pour the coffee carefully.
- Once the moka pot has cooled down, unscrew the top chamber and clean it thoroughly.
Note
Do not allow the moka pot to come into contact with salty or acidic substances.
Appropriate heat sources:
- Cumbia Mokclassic 300 models: gas, electric, and vitroceramic cooker.
- Cumbia Mokclassic 600 models: all types of cookers.
- Cumbia Mokclassic 900 models: all types of cookers.
- Cumbia Mokclassic 1200 models: all types of cookers.
