36" DUAL FUEL RANGE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Installation using Brass elbow
If you have a brass elbow provided in the kit then
this installation applies to your range.
1.
Apply the pipe-joint sealant (not supplied) on
the threaded end of the gas rail inlet then attach
the brass elbow on the gas rail by rotating the
hex nut using the adjustable wrench.
2. Apply the pipe-joint sealant (not supplied) on
the other end of the brass elbow. Attach the
regulator to it by rotating the hex on it using a
wrench. Use the hex nut on the brass elbow to
hold the gas rail when tightening the hex nut on
the regulator.
3. Make sure connections are leakproof. Do not
over tighten.
Installation without the brass elbow
1.
If you do not have the brass elbow provided
in the kit then this installation applies to your
range.
2. Apply the pipe-joint sealant (not supplied) on
the threaded end of the gas rail inlet and then
attach the regulator and tighten the hex nut on
it using an adjustable wrench. The hex nut on the
gas rail inlet is welded and will not rotate. Use it
to hold the rail using a wrench while tightening
the hex nut on the regulator.
3. Make sure connections are leakproof. Do not
overtighten.
4.2
Gas Supply Location
The gas supply piping can be through the side
wall of the right cabinet. The right side cabinet is
an ideal location for the main shutoff valve, if the
range is installed within cabinet storage space.

Shutoff Valve
The supply line should be equipped with an
approved shutoff valve as shown in Figure 12. This
valve should be located in the same room as the
range and should be in a location that allows ease
of opening and closing. Do not block access to
the shutoff valve. The valve is for turning on or
shutting off gas to the appliance.

The gas supply between the shutoff valve and the
regulator may be connected by rigid piping or by
A.G.A./C.G.A.- approved flexible metallic union-
connected piping where local codes permit use.
The user must know the location of the main
shutoff valve and have easy access to it.
4.4
Conversion to Propane gas
(LPG)
•
Before proceeding with the gas conversion,
the gas supply must be turned off before
disconnecting the electrical power.
•
A gas leak test should be performed after the
gas conversionvas been carried out.
