Nuts and bolts
Check that all screws and nuts are tight; especially the nuts that fix the hitches to the machine, the nuts
that fix the wheels and those that fix the engine. Lubricate the steering column stop rod sliding bushings.
Clutch
Originally the position of lever A (fig.17) is
normal.
Engine
For maintenance intervals, follow the instructions given in the engine operating manual. You should
check the oil level every 4 hours of work and replace it every 50 hours of work. Always use good quality oil
as indicated in the engine instruction book.
Air filter
If working in dusty conditions, wash the filter strand and add oil every 8 hours.
Use the same oil as for the engine. For engines that have a paper filter air filter, clean this element with air
or replace it if it is severely clogged.
Gearbox
A
Check the oil gauge every 50 working
hours by removing the plug A and check
that, with the machine in horizontal
position, the oil reaches the two notches
B
B/C (fig.16).
If necessary, add SAE 80W/90 manual
gearbox oil.

4. STORAGE
If the machine is not to be used for a long period of time, it is advisable to take the following precautions:
• Empty the carburetor.
• Drain the engine of oil.
• Lubricate the cylinder by introducing a few drops of the same type of oil used for the engine through
the plug hole and turning the engine several times without starting it. If it is a Diesel engine, remove the
injector by unscrewing the two screws that hold it to the cylinder head and pour a little oil into the hole.
• Clean the engine and machine thoroughly.
• Protect the teeth of the bar with the front protection and check that the blade is not damaged.
• When restarting operations, check that all safety devices (engine stop, reverse gear/power take-off and
clutch lever stop) are working.
