3 Intended Use
The product is suitable for domestic use only and is designed for soft soldering
applications� This means it may only be used for soldering and desoldering
electrical and electronic components in printed circuits and modules, for tinning
tracks and cable ends and for making cable connections�
The soldering station must never be used to heat liquids (water, alkalis, solvents, etc�) or
plastic parts (formation of toxic vapours and fire hazard)! Any use other than that descri-
bed in chapter „Description and function" or in the „Safety instructions" is not permitted� This
product may only be used in dry indoor rooms� Failure to observe and comply with these re-
gulations and the safety instructions can lead to serious accidents, personal injury and da-
mage to property�
4 Preparation
1� Check the scope of delivery for completeness and integrity�
2� Compare the specifications of all used devices and ensure compatibility.
5 Connection and operation
5.1 Preparation
1� Insert the soldering iron holder into the housing opening of the soldering iron storage
station�
2� Secure the soldering iron holder with the retaining screws�
3� Soak the viscose sponge with clean water and let it drip off.
4� Insert the viscose sponge into the pull-out sponge tray�
5� Make sure that the soldering tip is inserted in the soldering iron�
6� Attach the soldering iron storage stand to the right-hand side of the soldering station
using the slot connection�
7� Insert the soldering iron into the soldering iron holder�
5.2 Connection
1� Attach the cable glands by inserting the connection plugs of the cable glands (4-pole
diode plug with union nut) into the associated connection socket on the front of the sol-
dering station as far as they will go�
2� Tighten the union nut to secure the connection�
3� Make sure that the mains switch of the soldering station is in the OFF position (o).
4� Connect the mains plug of the soldering station to a suitable mains socket�
5.3 Temperature setting
NOTICE!
• In the event of an operating fault, e�g� defect of the temperature sensor, interruption of
the supply line between the soldering iron and the soldering station or rise of the solde-
ring tip temperature to over 460°C, the error display ERROR appears. In addition, the
integrated piezo buzzer emits an acoustic warning signal� In this case, the soldering
station must be switched off immediately, disconnected from the mains and checked
for possible causes of malfunction�
