- Use the appliance on a flat surface that can
support high temperatures.
CAUTION: Always use a mat to prevent heat may
damage any delicate surface.
- Do not leave the appliance on top of or near a hot
electrical or gas burner.
- Leave sufficient space above and around the
appliance for the air to circulate correctly.
- Do not let the appliance come into contact with
curtains, wallpaper, dishcloths or other inflammable
materials when it is in use.
- Do not use the appliance with wet hands or feet
or barefoot.
- The temperature of the accessible surfaces may be
high when the appliance is working. These
surfaces are marked with the symbol:
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
- Before using the appliance for the first time, clean the plates with a
damp cloth and let it dry.
- When the plates are dry, lightly grease them with butter.
- When you plug the sandwich maker into the mains, the two lights will
light up (red and green) indicating that the plates are heating up. In a
few moments, the green light will go off indicating that the plates have
reached the correct temperature to start toasting.
- Throughout the toasting process the red light will remain on, the green
light will only turn on again to indicate that the sandwiches are ready.
- Open the upper cover and insert the sandwich carefully so as not to
burn yourself, close it carefully and engage the safety catch with the
lower handle.
- If you want the sandwich to be more toasted, leave it to the desired
point.
- Remove the sandwich with a suitable utensil so as not to damage the
non-stick coating of the plates.
- After each use, unplug the appliance from the electrical mains.
