- Set the dial to OFF to deactivate the cooling function.
- In normal operating conditions (on spring and autumn), it is recommended to set the
temperature to 4.
- In summer, when ambient temperature is high, it is recommended to set the temperature
to 3-4 to ensure an optimal temperature in the refrigerator compartment and freezer
compartment and to reduce their continuous running time; in winter, when ambient
temperature is low, it is recommended to set the temperature to 5-6 to avoid frequent
start/stop of the refrigerator.
Note:
Thermostat levels 6 or 7 are suitable when the room temperature is below 16 °C, but frost may
appear if the refrigerator continues to run on one of these settings for a long time at normal
ambient temperature, which is normal. In that case, it is recommended to set the thermostat
knob accordingly.
Fast freezing
1. Fast freezing causes the water in food to turn into fine ice crystals to prevent cell-
membrane damage and cytoplasm loss upon thawing, thus preserving the original
freshness and nutrition of the food.
Fresh food and fish to be stored for a long time should be frozen quickly. For fast freezing,

set the thermostat knob to 7 before storing food.
3. After fast freezing, turn the thermostat knob back to its original setting (fast-freezing
time should generally not exceed 4 hours, although time may vary depending on a variety
of factors).

5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Before cleaning, disconnect the power plug; do not connect or disconnect the power plug with
your hands wet, as there is a risk of electric shock and injury. Do not spill water directly on the
refrigerator to avoid rust, electrical leakage and accidents. Do not reach into the bottom of the
refrigerator, as you may get scratched by the sharp metal corners.
Cleaning the interior and exterior
- Food residues in the refrigerator can cause undesired odours, so you should clean the

refrigerator regularly. The refrigerator compartment should be cleaned once a month.
- Remove all shelves, the crisper drawer, etc., and clean them with a soft cloth or sponge
dampened with warm water or neutral detergent.
- Clean the dust that accumulates on the rear panel and side plates of the refrigerator
regularly.
- After using neutral detergent, make sure you rinse it with clean water, and then dry it with
a cloth.
- Do not use bristle brushes, steel wire brushes, detergent, soap powder, alkaline detergent,
benzine, petrol, acid, hot water, or other corrosive elements to clean the refrigerator
surface, door gasket, plastic decorative parts, etc. to avoid damage.
- Carefully dry the door gasket and clean the slot with a wooden stick wrapped with cotton.
After cleaning, fix the four corners of the door gasket and then gradually push it into the
slot in the door.
- When the unit is not to be used for a long period of time, disconnect it from the mains,
empty all food and clean the appliance, leave the door slightly open to avoid unpleasant
odours.
Power failure or cooling system fault
- Keep frozen food in case the refrigerator stops working for a prolonged period of time
(such as power failure or breakdown of the refrigeration system).
- Try to open the refrigerator door as little as possible, so that you can keep food in good
condition for hours, even in summer.
- If you receive an early power failure warning:
Set the thermostat knob to the highest setting one hour in advance so as to completely

freeze the food (do not store new food during this time!). Set the temperature back to the
original setting when the power supply returns to normal.
2. You can also make ice in an airtight container and place it on the top chamber of the
freezer to extend the shelf life of fresh food.
Note:
Once you start using the refrigerator, it is best to use it continuously to lengthen its service life.
Replacing the light bulb
The refrigerator has a LED light with low consumption and a long shelf life. In case of any
malfunction or anomaly, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service. LED bulbs may
only be replaced by qualified personnel.
