EXTRACTING AN ESPRESSO COFFEE
• Check whether the water tank is filled with water.
If there is no water in the tank, fill with around 1 L of water.
Note: The maximum capacity of the water tank is 1 L (Max.).
The water tank must be filled up to the maximum level so as to reduce the frequency of
this operation. The machine alerts if there is not enough water in the tank by means of a
luminous alert message on the control panel buttons.
For further information about the meaning of the alerts and the luminous alarms, consult
the "Alerts and Alarms" chapter (see Page 51).
Once the water tank has been filled and if it has been removed, replace it in the initial
position and confirm that it has been correctly fitted.
• Connect the electrical plug to an earthed socket.
Switch the On/Off general button which is located at the back of the equipment.
• The buttons on the control panel will blink in sequence (green colour) when the
equipment starts to pre-heat (approximately 60").
• As soon as the buttons on the control panel stop blinking in sequence (green colour),
the pre-heating is over.
• Put an espresso coffee cup on the cup tray under the extraction nozzle.
• Raise the lever to its full extent and insert a Delta Q coffee capsule in the capsule housing
hole, in accordance with the housing silhouette.
Completely lower the lever.
• Press the espresso coffee extraction button. The luminous indicators of the long coffee
and long drinks extraction buttons go out.
