The components and features of the Dräger FS-5000 Flame Simulator are:
● The product is supplied with a transit case, a battery charger, and a carrying
strap.
● The simulator is portable and can be carried and used by a single operator.
● The simulator is battery powered, with the batteries and electrical/electronic
components housed in the enclosure which comprises the main body and
the front and rear covers.
● The batteries are rechargeable using the charger supplied with the product.
The enclosure rear cover is removable for battery charging.The charger is
supplied with plug adaptors to enable use in various regions.
● The product label shows the CE conformity and explosion protection
marking, the operating temperature range, the disposal symbol, and other
essential safety information. For further information see: "How to dispose of

2.2
The Dräger FS-5000 Flame Simulator is intended to test the operation of
Dräger Flame 3000 and Dräger Flame 5000 detectors within a range of 3 m to
8 m (10 ft to 26 ft). It is suitable for use in extreme environments, including
potentially explosive atmospheres and offshore applications.

The flame simulator is fitted with a label that shows the certification and
conditions within which it can operate.

3.1
NOTICE
Inhibit any control equipment associated with the detector during testing to
prevent unwanted alarms.
1. Carry out a visual check of the simulator before use to ensure that it is clean
and undamaged.

● If the simulator is visibly damaged or faulty, do not use it and contact
