ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Please read these safety instructions before use and
keep them in a safe place.
! - This symbol indicates the risk of injury or damage
to the device.
! Failure to follow the instructions in this manual may
result in injury.
! The electric hand-held circular saw complies with
the applicable technical regulations and standards.
! Before setting down the circular saw, make sure that
all moving parts have stopped moving.
Special safety instructions for operating the circular
saw
Notice! Danger of injury! Switch off the saw and pull
the plug out of the socket before attempting to mount
or remove the saw blade. This will prevent the saw
from starting accidentally.
1. The heel of the saw blade should always be firmly
in contact with the cut material
2. Keep your hands at a sufficient distance from the
saw blade
3. Never touch the underside of the material while
cutting
4. Make sure that the saw blade is sharp, undamaged
and correctly adjusted. If this is not the case, the
blade could break and cause damage to the saw or
injury to the operator.
5. Do not touch the saw blade immediately after cut-
ting. It can be hot.
6. Remove the adjusting key from the saw before
starting to work.
7. Some machined materials may contain preserva-
tives that may be toxic. Avoid inhaling sawdust when
working on such materials.
8. When cutting thin materials, make sure that the cut
parts do not enter the retractable saw cover.
! Wear a dust mask as well as goggles when perform-
ing dusty work. Wear safety goggles that comply with
DIN standard 58214. When using the saw without
eye protection, foreign bodies (such as fragments or
chips) may get stuck in your eyes. This can cause
permanent eye damage. The use of goggles that do
not comply with the DIN standard can lead to serious
injuries due to possible shattering of the protective
glass.
! Choose the right saw blade for the job you want to
do. Only cut wood, wood materials and soft metals
such as aluminum with a hundred saws. Other materi-
als may tear, rupture or eject, get caught on the saw
blade, or cause other hazards.
! Do not use grinding wheels
- The arrow on the saw blade, which shows the direc-
tion of rotation, must point in the same direction as
the arrow on the saw blade. The teeth of the saw
blade must be in the direction of rotation of the saw
(downwards, forwards).
- Keep the saw blade and the flange clamping surface
clean. The saw blade flange must always fit into the
rotating falling plate inwards (saw blade).
- Make sure that all clamping devices and closures
are tightened and that no part has too much play.
! Never cut objects that you hold freely in your hand
! Make sure that already cut parts cannot reach the
saw blade, as they can be caught by the saw blade
and ejected.
! Never cut more than one piece of material at a time.
! Be especially careful when cutting large, very small,
or irregular pieces.
! No nails or other foreign objects may be placed in
the part of the workpiece to be cut.
! No one may stand near or behind the saw where
sawdust and debris are thrown.
! Do not use the saw to cut firewood.
! Do not try to stop the rotation of the saw blade by
pressing on its side.
! Do not use saw blades that do not meet the require-
ments or dimensions of this tool.
Fasten the workpiece firmly before cutting, eg with
clamps / not included /.
! Keep your hands away from the cutting area and
away from the saw blade. With your other hand, hold
the auxiliary handle or engine cover. If you hold the
saw with both hands, they cannot be cut with the saw
blade.
! Set the depth of cut min. to the thickness of the
processed material.
! When performing work in which the tool may come
into contact with a hidden power cord or its own
power cord, hold the power tool in places with insu-
lated gripping surfaces.
! Keep the saw firmly gripped with both hands and
position your arms in such a way as to withstand
the force of the kickback. It is necessary to stand on
one or the other side of the saw blade, but not in one
plane with the saw blade.
! When cutting longitudinally, always use a longitudi-
nal guide or a straight guide bar.
! Never use damaged or incorrect washers or bolts.
! If the saw blade is pinched or cutting is interrupted
for other reasons, release the switch and hold the
saw without moving the material until the saw blade
comes to a complete stop.
! Never attempt to disengage the saw or pull the saw
back while the saw blade is in motion. A kickback may
occur.
! If you want to restart the saw, which is inserted in
the workpiece, center the saw blade in the cut-out
and make sure that the teeth of the blade are not
jammed in the material.
! Support large panels to minimize the risk of pinching
or kickback.
! Do not use blunt or otherwise damaged saw blades.
! Before making a cut, tighten the saw blade depth
adjustment lever and the bevel adjustment lever.
! Be especially careful when making cuts in the
middle of material, such as existing walls or hidden
areas.
! Never work with the saw without the saw blade
