8. Installation
1. Install the sealing washers to inlet and outlet ports.
2. Insert the ports into the pump body:
a. 23870: Torque to 60-65Nm.
b. VR050: Torque to 60-65Nm.
c. VF100: Torque to 122-128Nm.
3. Secure the pump to the mounting location.
4. Partially fill the pump head with the liquid to be pumped - the pump must not be run dry during priming.
5. Connect the inlet & outlet hose to the appropriate ports (indicated by flow direction arrows on pump body). Hose clips must be used to
ensure a secure connection.
6. Install the inlet filter to the tank-side hose.
7. The mains supply cord must be routed and supported in such a way that it doesn't come into contact with any parts of the equipment or
hoses.
8. It is recommended to install a suitably rated protective device, such as a residual current device (RCD), ground-fault circuit interrupter
(GFCI), or earth-leakage circuit breaker (ELCB).
9. Secure the controller (where supplied) with the 4-OFF mounting points. Self-tapping screws / nuts & bolts are recommended.
10. Ensuring the mains supply is isolated, connect the controller power harness and motor harness, or where a controller is not supplied,
connect the pump motor power harness directly to a suitably rated fused supply point. Refer to Section 9.1 for example wiring layouts
and Section 6 for fuse sizing.
8.1 Typical Layouts
8.1.1 Controller (Horizontal Glands, Either Side)
All controller configurations have the option of using the
middle connector for sensor / float switch operation.

9. Commissioning
9.1 General
1. Confirm the equipment has sufficient ventilation space.
2. Ensure the fluid is clean. Solids can cause jamming, and abrasives can reduce equipment lifespan.
3. Check the tank is clean and the fluid level is sufficient for the amount to be transferred.
4. Confirm an inlet filter is installed to the tank supply hose, and it is clear and free from debris.
5. Confirm the pump head is partially filled with the fluid to be pumped - the equipment must not be run dry during priming.
6. Check the inlet & outlet hose is connected securely, and any valves are open.
