Unplug the unit from the mains and wait until the unit has cooled down completely
before assembling or disassembling anything.
Caution! Do not let the plates come into contact with metal cutlery or other metal
objects to avoid damaging the non-stick coating.
Open the lid of the appliance and pull the release buttons for the upper and lower
plates outwards respectively (see arrow on release button). The plates will release
from the lock and can then be easily removed.
