5.2 Cleaning and Disinfecting
The responsibility for cleaning and disinfection lies with the operator/user of the product. Be
sure to observe your local cleaning and hygiene regulations!
The surface of the maXium
made of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), and the base frame is made of powder-coated
aluminum.
• For cleaning and disinfection, disconnect the maXium
The following tested cleaning agent is recommended for cleaning the maXium
smart Cart:
Ready-to-use cloths Bode Microbac Tissue (verification: as of November 2016).

The instructions provided by the manufacturer must always be duly observed.
Danger of infection due to non-sterile handling!
Non-sterile handling of the maXium
lead to serious health hazards for patients.
After each use, the cart must be cleaned by wiping disinfection!

For protection against infections, ensure all devices and equipment are always cleaned

and disinfected!
Risk of damage to the surfaces of the maXium
Use of untested cleaning agents can lead to discoloration and surface damage.
Never clean the cart with scouring agents, disinfectants, or solvents which may scratch or

damage the surface.
The cart may be cleaned only with cleaning agents that are suitable for plastic-
•
coated/painted surfaces! In case of doubts, test on a less exposed spot.
Observe the information on material compatibility, dosage and exposure time provided by
•
the manufacturer of the disinfection agent.
Before starting, residual disinfectant must have been reliably removed.

5.2.1 Manual Cleaning and Disinfection
If accessories are to be disinfected (surface disinfection or immersion), the information by the
manufacturer of the disinfectants concerning material compatibility, dosage, and exposure
time must be respected.
