MAINTENANCE, STORAGE AND REPAIR
Maintenance and storage
When taking the product out of the water, pull it out using the front towing
strap so the water is able to drain out of the drains in the bottom back. Allow
the towable to dry completely to prevent mildew. If using in salt water, rinse
the product with fresh water and allow to dry completely before storing. For
cleaning, use only water or soapy water. Release all of the air from the
chambers and fold the towable. It is best to store the product inside a warm,
dry area. Do not unfold the product at temperatures below 15° C and do not
expose it to frosty temperatures, as it can damage the material and cause
cracks in the PVC bladder. Do not expose the product to direct sunlight, UV
radiation causes colors to fade and accelerates aging.
Repair
Smaller holes or cracks in the bladder can be repaired with the enclosed
repair kit as follows:
1. Please clean and dry the deflated product.
2. Align small defect areas (pinholes and cracks) up to about 5 cm length
one another carefully and apply a thin coat with repair glue, let it dry for
about 10 minutes with warmth (sun). Then repeat this process every 10
minutes up to 5 times. An adhesive applied does not need to be removed.
Adhesive must be dry before applying the next layer.
3. In case of a larger defect apply a 1/2 cm wide thin layer of glue on the
damaged edge and put on the cutted foil patch right away and press
firmly. Repaint edge of patch after about 10 minutes and repeat according
point 2. Too much glue makes the material soft and prolongs the repair
time.
4. Item must necessarily rest 12 hours before use.
5. Don't let the article vulcanize, do not use a different adhesive.
6. The repair must be performed only by adults. Keep adhesive and fabric
patches away from children! Avoid skin contact! Protect your eyes! Do not
swallow! Use only in well ventilated room! Not a toy!
Damage to the outer cover can be repaired by a saddlery, tent foreman or
tarp maker. Before reuse, the product should be carefully checked.
