2.3. WORKPLACE SECURITY
Maintain the working area clean and with good light.
Work places that are untidy or messy and not well
illuminated cause accidents.
Do not use the machine in areas that have an
explosive atmosphere and where there are
inflammable liquids, gases and powder. To avoid
fire risks and to have a well ventilated area, use the
machine in an area that is clean and with no fire
hazards at least in a perimeter of one meter.
Maintain children and passers by away from the
working area. Distractions can cause the loss of
control over the machine. Make sure that no passers-
by, children and animals enter the working area.
Do not use the machine in areas where there is the
possibility of finding cables and piping underground.
2.4. ELECTRIC SECURITY
Use only Garland batteries for this machine.
Use only the Garland charger to charge the Garland
batteries. Using a different battery or charger may
cause the battery to explode and the risk of fire.
Be sure to connect the charger to a 230 V and 50 Hz
DC power source.
The electrical plug of the charger of this machine
must match the base of the socket.
Never modify the plug in any way. Unmodified plugs
and matching bases will reduce the risk of electric
shock.
When using the battery charger, avoid body contact
with grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators,
electric stoves and refrigerators. There is an increased
risk of electric shock if your body is grounded.
Do not expose this machine, charger or battery to
rain or wet conditions. The water that enters them will
increase the risk of electric shock.
Do not abuse the cable. Do not use the cable to carry,
lift or unplug the charger. Keep the cord away from
heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or
tangled cables increase the risk of electric shock.
Never use this charger with the damaged cord or plug.
Before connecting the charger, check the plug and
cable for damage. If you discover any damage send
your machine to a technical service for repair. If the
cable is damaged or broken, unplug it immediately.
Damaged or tangled cables increase the risk of
electric shock.
The replacement of the plug or power cord should
always be done by the manufacturer or its technical
support service. It is recommended to connect this
charger to a residual differential device whose tripping
current is less than or equal to 30mA.
Never use a damaged connection base that does
not meet the regulations or requirements for this
charger.
Disconnect the charger from the power when
not in use to prevent damage in case of network
overload.
Charge the battery only with the charger supplied
with the machine, in a dry place with a temperature
between 0º C and 40º C.
Do not attempt to tamper with or open the battery and
/ or charger.
Do not short-circuit the battery and be careful when
