Making the recess in the wall
The recess must be sufficiently dimensioned in accor-
dance with the size of the metal case. It must be made
so that the outer edges of the metal case are flush.
See the figure below.
When creating the wall recess, note the necessary
position of the electrical and hydraulic connections in
the wall in the area shown.
Pay attention to the metal case installation height.
A minimum distance of 7 cm to the surface of the floor
covering must be adhered to for installation to allow the
grille to be fitted.
Installing the metal case DHU
The metal case must be installed to suit the existing
wall.
In the case of a solid wall, the metal case can be
bricked into the wall. The galvanised steel mesh on
the back and the brackets on the sides of the metal
case promote good bonding with the mortar.
In the case of a drywall, ensure that there is a
sufficiently dimensioned support structure suitable
for accepting the total weight and operation of the
dehumidifier. The metal case must be permanently
installed.
The metal case must be installed such that the lower
edge is at least 7 cm above the finished floor covering.
If the grille is located above a skirting board, the
minimum distance of 7 cm must be extended by the
height of the skirting board.
The transverse bracing should only be removed when
the mortar has dried and the metal case is perman-
ently fixed in place.
