PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
USERS

This brushcutter is intended for domestic use only.
•
The machine is designed to be operated by adult users who have read and understood these instructions. Do
not allow minors and persons who do not understand these instructions to use the product.
•
Before using the product, familiarize yourself with the product. Make sure you know where all the controls
and safety devices are located and how to use them.
•
If you are an inexperienced user, we recommend that you practice doing simple jobs and, if possible, in the
company of an experienced person.
•
The user is responsible for accidents or hazards occurring to his property, himself and his property.
PERSONAL SAFETY
•
Do not force this machine. Use it in accordance with these instructions taking into account the conditions
and the work to be performed. Improper use could result in a hazardous situation.
•
Wear hearing protection, face shield and safety glasses at all times during operation to protect yourself
from dust and organic debris.
•
Be alert and watch what you are doing when operating this machine.
•
Avoid unintentional starting of the equipment. Make sure the switches are in the off position before
connecting the battery.
•
Always maintain proper foot support and operate the machine only when standing on a stationary, stable
and level surface. Slippery or unstable surfaces may cause loss of balance or loss of control of the machine.
•
Do not operate this machine when you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication.
•
Check that the battery is not swollen or showing signs of damage or aging before turning the machine on.
•
Keep all body parts away from the blade when the machine is running. Before starting it, make sure that
the blade is not in contact with any object.
•
Never hold the machine by the cutting tool. Hold the machine with both hands on the handles and always
place your body behind you.
•
Do not operate the machine in the rain or in extremely wet conditions.
•
If the machine vibrates abnormally, stop it, remove the battery, inspect the machine for the possible cause
and repair it. If you cannot find the reason, contact GREENCUT Technical Service.
•
Dress appropriately. Do not wear jewelry or loose clothing. Keep your hair and clothes away from moving
parts.
SAFETY IN THE WORK AREA
•
Remove all obstacles from the work area before starting this machine.
•
When working on streets, roads or nearby areas, make sure that you do not endanger traffic with objects
pushed by the blower air.
•
Keep bystanders, children or animals away while operating this machine. Distractions can cause you to lose
control.
•
Keep the work area clean and work only with sufficient lighting. Cluttered and dark areas can cause
accidents.
•
Cutting on uneven surfaces can be dangerous. Be careful when working on slopes or wet grass. Be especially
careful when changing direction on a slope. Cut parallel to the surface of the slope, never up or down.
BATTERY SAFETY
•
Never attempt to open a battery for any reason.
•
Do not expose the battery to water.
•
Do not store the battery in places where the temperature may exceed 40 °C and charge it only at ambient
temperatures between 5 °C and 35 °C.
•
Dispose of batteries in an environmentally friendly manner, do not dispose of them in household waste
containers.
•
When the battery is not in use, keep it away from other metallic objects, a short circuit between the
battery terminals may cause burns or fire.
•
Under abusive conditions, liquid may leak from the battery; avoid contact. If it occurs accidentally, rinse
with water. If liquid comes in contact with eyes, seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may
cause irritation or burns.
CHARGER SAFETY
•
Recharge the battery with the charger specified by the manufacturer. An unsuitable charger for one type
of battery may create a fire hazard when used with another battery. Other batteries could burst, causing
personal injury and damage.
•
Never attempt to charge non-rechargeable batteries.
•
Replace defective cables immediately.
•
Do not expose the charger to water.
•
Do not open the charger.
