MAINTENANCE
CLEANING GUIDE
Caution: Disconnect the battery before performing any cleaning, maintenance or repair.
Clean the mower thoroughly after each use with a cloth or brush. Do not spray with water and
keep hands away from the moving head.
•
Wear gloves when cleaning, do not clean with unprotected hands.
•
Clean the machine after each use to ensure best performance and durability.
•
Make sure all vents designed for heat dispersal are clean and free of obstructions or debris.
•
Remove grass clippings, dirt, etc. from the underside of the deck and blades (the wash
function on some models makes this task easier).
•
It is recommended to put a little oil on the blades after each use to prevent blade corrosion.
•
Make sure that all hoppers and covers are clean and free of obstructions.
•
Make sure that spring-loaded terminals, such as the rear cover, spring back into place when
released.
•
Clean and check the collection basket for damage and replace damaged parts as required.
Allow the collection basket to dry completely before storing to prevent deterioration or
rotting.
•
Make sure all cables, levers, switches, etc. are clean and operate as they should and without
problems.
Note: Use a slightly damp cloth, water and a mild detergent for cleaning. Do not use solvents,
chemicals or harsh abrasives as this may damage some plastics and/or surfaces. For parts that are
difficult to access, use a brush.
